{"id":969,"date":"2009-06-01T07:09:47","date_gmt":"2009-06-01T14:09:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/palblog.fxpal.com\/?p=969"},"modified":"2009-06-02T18:11:14","modified_gmt":"2009-06-03T01:11:14","slug":"science-of-chocolate-on-kqed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.fxpal.net\/?p=969","title":{"rendered":"Science of Chocolate on KQED"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You can get a look at our <a href=\"http:\/\/palblog.fxpal.com\/?p=120\">Virtual Factory<\/a> and some of our molecular dynamics animations on &#8220;The Science of Chocolate&#8221; which is showing tomorrow night on Channel 9 (in the Bay Area) as part of the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kqed.org\/quest\"> KQED Quest series. <\/a>The story is focused on the hows and whys of chocolate making, not on our Virtual Factory project, but it&#8217;s still fun to see some of our work on the air. <\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_988\" style=\"width: 448px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-988\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/palblog.fxpal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/theo-logo-sm1.jpg\" alt=\"Model of a theobromone molecule\" title=\"theo-logo-sm1\" width=\"438\" height=\"247\" class=\"size-full wp-image-988\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-988\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Model of a theobromine molecule<\/p><\/div>\n<p>All these 3D models and animations were created by FXPAL&#8217;s resident Art Guy, Tony Dunnigan, with Sagar Gattepally handling the virtual world construction; the video embedded in-world was shot by John Doherty.<\/p>\n<p>The show is on tomorrow night, June 2nd at 7:30PM on KQED, Channel 9; and will also commence streaming on the KQED web site as of tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE: oops, this show was pre-empted for pledge programming!
