The goal of the workshop is to bring together researchers with interests related to various aspects online reading, including digital collections, user experience, and design and technology. See the <a title=\"BooksOnline'10 Workshop Call For Papers  | Micorsoft Research\" href=\"http:\/\/research.microsoft.com\/en-US\/events\/booksonline10\/cfp.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Call for Papers<\/a> for a more detailed description of relevant topics. The workshop is organized by Gabriella Kazai (Microsoft Research, UK) and Peter Brusilovsky (University of Pittsburgh).<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->This is the third in a series of workshops (the <a title=\"BooksOnline'08 | Microsoft Research\" href=\"http:\/\/research.microsoft.com\/booksonline08\/\" target=\"_blank\">first<\/a> held in conjunction with <a title=\"ACM Conference on Information Knowledge and Management 2008\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cikm2008.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">CIKM 2008<\/a>, and the <a title=\"BooksOnline'09 | Microsoft Research\" href=\"http:\/\/research.microsoft.com\/en-us\/um\/cambridge\/events\/booksonline09\/\" target=\"_blank\">second<\/a> held in conjunction with <a title=\"European Conference on Digital Libraries 2009\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ecdl2009.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">ECDL 2009<\/a>); one interesting addition to this workshop is a \u00a33,000 prize, sponsored by Microsoft Research, to be awarded to one more selected projects.<\/p>\n<p>One of the nice things about this workshop is that its proceedings will be published in the ACM Digital Library, making it an effective venue for disseminating your results.<\/p>\n<p>Another positive is the location: Toronto is a great city with lots of things to do and see, and they don&#8217;t roll up their sidewalks at 10 pm.
