I also enjoy its commenters&#8217; tendency to break into verse at the least provocation. <a href=\"http:\/\/wave.google.com\/help\/wave\/closed.html\">Google Wave <\/a>(which Jeremy discussed <a href=\"http:\/\/palblog.fxpal.com\/?p=946\">here<\/a>) was the topic of a recent post titled &#8220;Panhandling for invites&#8221; in which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sunpig.com\/abi\/\">Abi Sutherland <\/a>offers this delight:<\/p>\n<p>The sea has depths in which no net is cast,<br \/>\nWith trackless kelpine forests where great squid,<br \/>\nLike Sasquatch in his mountains safely hid,<br \/>\nDance dreaming with the fishes swimming past.<br \/>\nAnd human interaction is the same.<br \/>\nBeneath an email surface lies the deep:<br \/>\nUnmodeled work and social patterns creep<br \/>\nAnd spread in ways existing tools don&#8217;t frame.<\/p>\n<p>Go <a href=\"http:\/\/nielsenhayden.com\/makinglight\/archives\/011716.html#373315\">here <\/a>to see the whole sonnet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OK, it&#8217;s a sonnet, not an ode, but still.
